Star Trek Voyager marathon

EStreet: My bad. The new one. It's unbelievably good. It steals a lot of shirt from Star Trek which is understandable since one of the Battlestar creators is a former DS9 and Voyager guy, but it is one of the most creative TV sci-fi shows I have ever seen.

I just started watching BSG, based on raves from a lot of folks.
It's very good, and I can't wait to see where it goes.

This is what I keep talking about. Even tried to start a thread on here a while back, but it faded into oblivion quickly. The new Battlestar Galactica really is outstanding.

And the former DS9 and Voyager guy is Ronald Moore. I wrote about that earlier in the thread.

B-5: The most overrated show in Sci-Fi history. Bad plot lines, bad acting, bad special effects.

I tried to watch it a few times, but just never caught my interest.

that's because it was a piece of shirt. applaud yourself for good taste.

B5 won two Hugo awards for Best Dramatic Presentation and beat DS9 for both of them head to head in 1996 and 1997. Pretty good for a piece of shirt, huh?

The B5 pilot won an Emmy for special effects, and given that the pilot had the worst FX of the whole series, it stands to reason that the FX work after that didn't suck. And it certainly didn't.

How very nice for them. Still bored the heck out of me when I tried to watch it.

B-5 won awards and was a hit with some critics because it wasn't Star Trek. It was the cool alternative. But it really sucked badly. I watch ALL Sci-Fi; I'm an addict but could not stand that show. It was the biggest piece of crap I've seen since the Buck Rogers remake in the 80s.

By the way Riddick: I heard a rumor that the real Riddick is doing a third movie in the Pitch Black saga. This one is supposed to go back to the original planet. It's more like Pitch Black than the last Riddick movie, the name I am forgetting now.
