Trib story: http://chicagobreakingbusiness.com/2011/03/mesirow-ceo-james-tyree-dies-of-cancer.html

This man (and the investors he put together) saved the STimes and all its suburban papers from bankruptcy.

Any thoughts on what may happen to those publications now?
He's been battling cancer for awhile now, so one would imagine his family & business partners prepared for this. Any media companies out there looking to buy a suburban here or there? The Sun-Times by itself? Is the whole group in jeopardy again?

The official news:

Cancer didn't kill him.

An "accident" did:

No good.
