The 2022 running NASCAR, IMSA & other racing things thread

Yeah, Bristol night race has been over rated for a really long time.
Peerless is way over priced. It's good. But it's expensive.
Better in proximity to the track is Ridgewood BBQ.
Now it is my turn to make enemies. Ridgewood may have been the most disappointing barbecue experience of my life.

No enemies. I just said it was a better option, in my opinion, than pricey Peerless in proximity to the track. There are better bbq places around, jut not in the immediate vicinity.

It's a decent crowd, but far from a sellout. I can't tell if anyone is in the nosebleeds in 1-2.
Whether it hurt or not, the following college football teams in the footprint of the track all played at home today:
Tennessee
Va. Tech
ETSU
App State
Tusculum
Mars Hill
Carson-Newman
UVA-Wise
Emory & Henry

Might have been done in Blacksburg in enough time to book it to Bristol in time. Maybe Boone, too.

Glad I wasn't trying to get a hotel room within 100 miles of Bristol for the weekend.
