The Economy

Our 16-year-old is in AP Government and Politics this year. During parent-teacher meetings, I said something about how it's got to be interesting teaching that class with all this stuff going on. The teacher said "Yeah, there have been a few times I had to come in and say 'Remember what we were talking about last week? Well, disregard that now.'"

100% this. I have literally gotten a news alert on my watch and said "Remember what we were talking about an hour ago...."
 
It is a deeply conflicting feeling to be starting the best job of my life (first check today!) and at the same time dread the idea that we could all live in Trumpvilles under the freeway by Christmas.

Imagine sitting pretty a few months ago, lining up semi-retirement, but now wondering WTF.
 
Small craft breweries are gonna get hit hard by tariffs on grains and tariffs on aluminum for cans. They're gonna have to drastically raise prices or go out of business. Thanks to one dementia-ridden, rapist, traitor piece of shirt.
 
Inflation is going up and consumers are curbing spending. The market took another shirt today. All avoidable. But nope.

This is the early stages of the trump recession.
 
Gas prices here have bounced around a little this year but generally stayed within the same 40-cent range. Been a long time since it went above $2.899 and that never lasts more than a couple of days.
