This seems like such a little issue -- either way -- that it's not even worth talking much about. I'm always surprised at how vehement people are that the anthem shouldn't be played/sang at sporting events.

Most people do like it, and accept the appropriateness of protesting during it. It's just fashionable for about 13% of the country, at the moment, to say they don't it should be played at all, and a lot of those people fancy themselves more citizens of the world, who can pick and choose political and cultural ideas as they please, rather than acting as people who live in a place and a time.

Some of them are very rich. They'll be able to afford to live wherever they please whenever this nation turns in on itself with self hatred, as it is at the moment. Mark Cuban included.
