Had a random thought today. (I'm new to futbol pools, so pardon my ignorance.)

If pick a team to advance through knockout play, do we get points even if we had them coming through the wrong slot? Example, the Netherlands makes the finals, but does so as a group runner-up instead of a group winner as predicted.

Sorry, but no.
You get three points because you selected them to advance to the knockout stage (instead of five had you picked the correct finish in the group standings).
But you can only get points from that team again if they win the whole forkin' thing.
