My wife is a fan of that show - It's like the most vanilla ice cream drama to me ever. That show seems like it costs about $100 to make, between the low wattage of the cast and long dialogue scenes. There's nothing actively bad about it, but it's one of the few shows that's literally put me to sleep. The one thing I like are some of the "subtle" camera tricks - Like at one point, there is a rockslide that some people get injured in, and then there is a hard cut to the next scene of people playing Jenga.I also started watching "Virgin River," mainly because of Tim Matheson. It's sort of like a highly-polished Hallmark movie/series but I'm enjoying it so far.
I wonder if the trailer implies a shift in tone for the series.

What is this about? It sounds like the vibe I got when I saw a commercial for Watson. I may check that out only because it is set in Pittsburgh. (I caught a glimpse of the Clemente Bridge in the commercial.)
Have you started Watson? want another opinion. It feels like a cheap knockoff of House and a cheap knockoff of Sherlock Holmes which feels hard to pull off. The latter (of the books) inspired the former. I want it to be more than it is.
Certainly appears to be less gritty. Unfortunately.
