Photographer in the right place at the right time, and lucky he wasn't shot. This could have been some serious carnage had it not been for law enforcement on duty at the courthouse.

By definition he was a "good guy with a gun" until he fired the first shot.

I'm a weency bit more concerned about the guns than the video games, although I don't let my children play violent ones, because I don't think those things are good for them.

Now, almost every event gets bigger play.

In a world freed from the constraints of the press and page, it's not easy to turn the volume up beyond 11.

When that photo popped up in my feed, it was around noon Pacific. I read the caption and my first thought was, "this must have happened several months back and I forgot about it..." because I'd yet seen no mention of a possible mash killing in Downtown Dallas. Of course, if he'd been Muslim....
