there is a shuttle bus called the Gold Rush that runs every 10 minutes including a stop at the Doubletree to uptown within a block of the bars

also you have to eat at Merts, real soul food located on College St. near the Arena

HOTEL INFORMATION: Ghost planner says there is a lot of availability as of 2:15 a.m. today.

When folks call in, ask for the "net-direct rate" aka the expedia.com rate, which is cheaper. Here are the rates I was quoted under the net-direct:
$89.10+tax for 1 or 2 ppl
$98.10+tax for 3 ppl
$107.10+tax for 4 ppl
----
If someone does not use net-direct rate, the bottom rate starts at $99+tax. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are all same rate, and so is 1 king or 2 dbl beds - all same rates.
