Tweet from Chattanooga's UT beat writer Wes Rucker: "We got a one minute statement and nothing else because local TV news director wouldn't agree to terms."

From what I can gather, WBIR news director Bill Shorey wouldn't agree to not go live with the presser.

Good for the News Director. UT doesn't get to make editorial decisions.

However, from what I gather, his refusal guaranteed that there would be no Q&A. Though there might not have been any anyway.

Vols basketball player Renaldo Woolridge is Tweeting about the scene on campus: http://twitter.com/Swiperboy.

From Volquest.com

We have heard from multiple sources, including defensive tackle Marlon Walls that Ed Orgeron was on the phone tonight with some of the early enrollees telling them not to go to class tomorrow and attempting to begin the process of recruiting them to USC.

Including the duo from South Carolina that touched off Hostessgate

Tear gas!?! Chasing Kiffin's car!?!

Please tell me TV crews got that footage.

If they are early enrollees (and if this is true), haven't they signed an LOI? And isn't contacting recruits who have already signed a valid LOI some kind of NCAA infraction?

Hiring a guy like Kiffin is a strange move for a program that could very easily be facing "lack of institutional control" charges within the next six months.

Urban Meyer reacting to the news?

Don't know how much to believe on Twitter, but sounds like Kiffin was chased off campus by students who crashed his press conference. I believe @Swiperboy is exaggerating some things

So it was perfectly fine to give out Layla Kiffin's cell number?

The early enrolees are fair game until they step foot in their first class.

There's one post asking what the number is. One response that it's 867-5309. One post by a guy claiming to know it. One guy asking him how he knows it. And original guy saying he "tap that chit of and on."

that's some pretty outrageous stuff, huh?
