Which new TV shows are you excited to watch, 2012-13 edition...

Tried the first two episodes of "House of Cards" last night, and plan on following through. Anyone notice a steady diet of former "24" alum on it? Kate Mara played a CTU agent in S5. Jayne Atkinson is another one who's playing played major roles in both, was Karen Hayes in 24. Sakina Jaffrey plays Vasquez, she was the assistant to Logan's wife in S5. Might be missing minor characters, but all those were significant familiar faces.

I think I'll give it another crack next week, or at least record it and wait for the reviews to tell me if it's worth continuing. I've become more leery of shows with difficult-to-maintain premises since the disaster that was The Killing.
*Shudders* That's time I'll never get back.

I forgot to record The Americans, which means either I never watch the show again or watch it illegally. I forking hate FX's policy of not allowing places to stream its TV shows week by week.

You can already view tonight's The Americans here. Better than Hulu.

I know of that site and others, but they are illegal, right? My point wasn't that I am impaired from watching it but that it's a ridiculous policy not to make your shows available so your viewers can keep up.

OK, I am much further in on The Americans after the second episode. The scenes involving Elizabeth and Phillip's home life are stronger than the spy scenes because those spy scenes (and the sex scenes that come with them) lack any form of subtlety. But the writers come up with good, real dialogue to balance things out.

This episode put the season's wheels in motion much better than the pilot, which has me more interested and hopeful.

I guess I should have waited to read the rest of the thread before I PMed you. :D

I don't watch the show (quit after two episodes) but I think it's hilarious NBC is considering continuing the corpse of Up All Night after Christina Applegate quit today. Show has been rebooted like four times already.

Do No Harm cancelled after two eps.

Got to be tough to get a few weeks of having your show promo'd to death on national TV and then poof - you're gone.
Pasquale was great in Rescue Me, I'm sure he won't go hungry.

And Christina Applegate leaving Up All Night...wasn't it her show? Is it a Valerie's Family thing now?
