2025 NFL coaching carousel

The Cowboys were always going to "stay in the family" - they are like USC that way (and see what's happened when they go outside?)

The thing I like best about the Carroll hire in Vegas is that it is a short-term deal. You get the sense that he really just wanted to end his time in the NFL on his own terms and I imagine he won't have a hard time putting together a staff. I don't know who Brady is going to line up for QB though. It's going to have to be a former starter/current back-up, maybe they could swing a Maxx Crosby for JJ McCarthy trade. Keep their first rounder, draft Abdul Carter as Crosby's replacement.

Um ... Russell Wilson?

Its funny, because Derek Carr only played 10 games, but he did have a passer rating of 101 and a TD/Int split of 15-5, and I think New Orleans would let him go for nothing.

Didn't realize Russ and Pete had patched things up though. That's good I guess.

Slowik getting canned is once again proof to never hire a one-year coordinator to be a HC. The league's recent past is littered with hires who had one good (first) season with the Rams, or the Broncos, or whomever who gravytrained their time with someone who was already ticketed to the HOF into a HC gig. In Adam Gase's case TWO jobs.

Cowboys fans all over this fine nation are thinking this is an April Fools joke.

Jerry wants a low key personality who won't take the spotlight off of him and won't cost that much. Mission accomplished.
