President Trump 2.0: The NEW one and only politics thread

They have lost a time or two over the years.

Yeah, it happened once in the 1960s. As Red Klotz told the story, it was near the end of a long tour; players on both teams were tired and for some reason one night, the Trotters just started skipping their routines, played full-on legitimate basketball; the Generals played right with them, and Klotz hit a last-second shot to win,

As Klotz described it, the fans looked at the Generals like they just murdered Santa Claus, and Meadowlark Lemon started screaming at Klotz for making the shot. The Generals went into the locker room, and as they naturally had no champagne, celebrated by pouring orange soda over everyone,

The next night, the Globetrotters killed them by about 50 points.

I never said anything about due process. There are plenty of other things they are not entitled to. Food stamps, medicaid, driver's licenses (in 34 states). . .

They do not get these things . . . because they do not get "equal treatment."

But they do get "equal treatment" when it comes to access to the legal process - you agree with that, right?

Legal showdown as Justice Department resists judge's demand for more details on deportation flights

I mean sure the administration is talking about "unreviewable executive action [to circumvent Constitutionally-guaranteed due process]," but Democrats refuse to address the big problem of liter boxes in school, so really both parties are the same.

At least half of it is what the left became in the last 20 or so years. It is the party of government, academia, much of journalism, the arts, the non-profit sector and the children of rich people. To the extent the poor and working class have a place in the party, it's out of loyalty.

It's hard to underestimate the antipathy that's set in and it's equally hard for many on the left to see it, because it means considering that, in plainest terms, they're not necessarily better people than Trump voters. And that's nearly an impossibility. It cannot be conceived.
Trump is a fascist. By definition that makes his voters shirt people.

The MAGATs believe they've been handed an "unbelievable, undeniable mandate," and that the courts are standing in the way of the will of the American people. The crisis is here.

Nonsense.

Everyone knows GOP Presidents are constitutionally empowered to ignore the Constitution when they prefer.

Judge Boasberg was at one time head judge of the FISA court, the one whose proceedings are all secret because they involve intelligence operations. He's probably got a higher level clearance than the Attorney General. He is giving the administration process breaks. This suggests he is seeking to appeal-proof his ruling, which further indicates the administration ain't gonna like it.
