2023-24 Running NBA thread

Lakers hold on after blowing an 18-point lead in the second half. Now to lose in five to the Nuggets.

So ESPN has games at 1, 330 and 6 on Saturday, ABC gets the 830 primetime game.

Zero chance that Denver-Lakers isn't the ABC game.

Do you start with the Knicks at 1 or put the Cavs-Magic there? Guessing Suns-Wolves will be the 6 p.m. start.

Reggie Miller questioning if AD should miss a free throw, instead of increasing the lead to four, was one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard

Magic-Cavaliers kick things off at 1 p.m.

Suns-Timberwolves at 3:30.

Knicks-TBA at 6.

Nuggets-Lakers at 8:30.

With three of the four in the Central/East, Lakers-Nuggets were pretty much locked into that last slot.

There were way too many people arguing the Lakers should lose on purpose. This sounds like either an extension of that or just being a dip. Possibly both.

This may as well be Game 8 of last season's playoffs. But how long can the Kimgs contain Curry?

Dude, that was some of the dumbest shirt I've ever heard. The Lakers should throw a play-in game to set up a win-or-out game against either the Warriors of the Kings? The Lakers haven't beaten the Kings all year! And they are supposedly doing this to play the Thunder instead of the Nuggets? Just utter foolishness.

In the age of analytics, it's classic Dunning-Kruger Fredo Corleone retard-contrarian thinking: "Hey, let's do something that appears to be utterly stupid!! Now let me explain to you why it's really SMAHHT!!"

"Things are not usually what they seem."
-- Michael Gallagher (Paul Newman)

"Well, they usually are."
-- Megan Carter (Sally Field)

As one of my stringers used to say, this is a supreme scientific butt-whooping.
