2023 running NBA playoffs thread

I don't like the NBA policing legal personal conduct. The mob pressure of social media shouldn't be a factor. Invoking "the reputation of the league" as a justification leads to arbitrary distinctions that effectively track racially acceptable behavior. Let's be real - Morant was suspended for behaving like a "thug."

The Grizzlies, of course, should be able to suspend their players for whatever reason they deem acceptable. They're the workplace that's actually affected by Ja's issues.
 
Racially acceptable behavior? Let's pump the breaks on that. He was acting like a dumbass. He's a highly public figure in a place where the highly public figures mean billions to the organization and threats to those billions are not tolerated. So they ask these guys to behave like rational people. It's the price of being paid millions. But back off of that "racially acceptable behavior" nonsense.
