Music Thread (post a song)

I posted way upthread about Lisa Stansfield and her starter band, Blue Zone.

Here's another. This song may be the best of her whole catalogue.

"Won't You Try (Saturday Afternoon)" -- Jefferson Airplane

It pales in comparison to, say, Chappell Roan [/crossthread], but back in the day, the Airplane had some controversial lyrics of their own. And their third album ("After Bathing at Baxter's") is their trippiest by far.

Does Sam roll his eyes at post-Genesis Gabriel or does he take him for what it's worth?

At any rate, the video is forking ace.
At worst, I take him for what he's worth. And he's worth a lot more than many might think.

The one thing that should be said about him is he's not the first bit afraid to take a risk. Always willing to pull him timbres and elements from music worldwide. The Melt album showed that he was willing to go dark. Also collaborated with other Genesis members long after he left the band – and anyone else he thought would make something better.

For example, he wrote "Sky Blue," thought it was OK ... then found the Blind Boys of Alabama and it really came together:

It's obvious that I like progressive rock. Therefore, liking at least some of Pete's solo work should almost go without saying.
