A Tipping Question

Hunting cows is serious business. Nothing to joke about.
That's why cows are considered the most dangerous game.

Especially if they are mad cows with that disease and ship. Ornery doesn't even begin to describe those monsters.

Went to Panera for breakfast this morning. Was prompted at checkout to add a tip. "Never expected, always appreciated," it said.

GTFO with that ship. First off, do you tip at Chipotle, Chick-Fil-A, or any other fast casual type of place? I don't. These are not workers who are getting paid $2.00/hour who rely on tips. Secondly, I'm not giving any tip preemptively. What if the service ends up being ship?

Eat ash, Panera Bread.

Had an awkward moment yesterday at one of those express pizza places, where you go through a line like they do at Chipotle and tell them what you want on the pizza. The pizzas were built and in the conveyor belt oven, when I reached the pay area. He ran my credit card, then flipped the screen around toward me to sign with my finger. On the screen was the tip option. It defaulted to a 15 percent option which included how much money that was. You could scroll to more or less tip. There were YES and NO buttons on the bottom.
I was in a hurry so I just clicked YES at 15 percent and paid it.
I usually don't tip when I have to order at a counter, like at Panera, even though they deliver the food to your table.
Do you guys tip in such circumstances?
