Alex Trebek/Jeopardy Tribute Thread

You'd know better than I would but it seemed the only people to dislike Simmons 20-25 years ago were the old-timers who just wouldn't let him play in their club (not that he could anyway). People seemed to universally love The Sports Guy. It was only around the 30 for 30 period where he became omnipresent and ever-annoying and whiny.

But yes, Simmons is infinitely better than Portnoy. Of course, that is one of the lowest bars to clear in the history of humanity.
Simmons was annoying before 30 for 30. With the move to ESPN, he started pounded bits into the ground much like the style he hated in Shaughnessy. He would drop into areas he knew nothing about and embarrass himself.

I'm glad someone out there clued into my thought pattern. I was thinking to myself - will this be yet another failed attempt at humor?

I mean, you don't see jokes about the Dewey Decimal System.

And hat tip to you for taking it and improving on it. You hit that one out. Take a bow.

You delivered the deck-high 85 mph meatball. Thank you for grooving that one. :D

Didn't watch last night and just catching up. The Kunta Kinte FJ guess had me cackling.
