Bengals-Rams: Running Super Bowl LVI thread

Is Aaron Donald the greatest defensive tackle of all time? Who would be better?

The old greats like Bob Lilly, Art Donovan and Alan Page were before my time. Reggie White was the greatest defensive lineman I saw growing up and Cortez Kennedy was the best big man. As an adult I thought Warren Sapp was amazing and unstoppable at times. Donald is in that group wherever you want to put him. A special player that impacted the game like a handful of others.

And to be clear: I'm not really arguing for or against. His totals numbers are all going to be mashive.

Just saying... if he retired tomorrow you could have a Hall of Fame clash with Tom Brady (15 Pro Bowls), Aaron Rodgers (8 Pro Bowls), Ben Roethlisberger (6 Pro Bowls), and Matt Stafford (1 Pro Bowl). It's just odd.
Pro bowls are like gold gloves.

Cortez is criminally underrated. Played on some real bad Hawks teams.

Fun Pro Bowl stat: Tom Brady is credited with 15 Pro Bowl selections — the most ever — but only played in the game twice (in 2002 and 2005).

It's crazy that he won Defensive Player of the Year on a team that won 3 or 4 games. He was that good and surrounded by that much ship. One of the most explosive off-the-ball players I've seen to this date.

His predecessor at Miami, Jerome Brown, would probably also be on this list if he didn't die in a car accident at 27.

You might not want to sneak it when your QB is battling through an injury.

2-14 if I remember correctly and one of the worst offences of all time. He was absolutely dominant.

Donald is definitely among the greatest ever. Joe Greene certainly has a case. Dominant player. The Steel Curtain was literally built around him. Strong performances in big games. Key player on four Super Bowl championship teams.
