Best SportsJournalists.com threads of the past

I can't find it - might be gone - but there was one on worst chain restaurants or something that started innocently enough and then took off. I remember a line like "Nothing can approach the culinary terror of Long John Silver's."

All the threads related to Joe Paterno's "death," and then, his actual death, were really great.

Checking all of them out could take several days to read, but the "Rushing to be Wrong," RIP Joe Paterno," and the "Posnanski and the Paterno Book" he planned to write were epic, interesting threads from 2012.

I had entirely too much fun on those threads.

There also was a fun discussion of chain restaurants sparked by a North Dakota newspaper columnist praising the arrival of an Olive Garden in her town. Maybe it's the same thread Huggy is talking about — I'll have to check later.

One thing's for certain about this place: we love to eat!
