Cameron Crowe's Lost Tom Petty Doc in theaters tonight and Sunday only

Crowe shot a doc of him interviewing and hanging with Petty and the HB's shortly after doing Fast Times at Ridgement High. It aired only once, on MTV, at 2 a.m. (!) It's been given a brief theatrical release. Sounds like a good time for TP fans.

I have to suspect it will. Crowe is more of a name now, and Petty's estate seems to be in good hands with his daughter running it. I could not make last night, and Sunday is doubtful, so I certainly hope so.

I can't imagine what it was like for Crowe to make his first film, only to see it screened once at 2 a.m.
