We did dinner and presents last night. Santa was veddy, veddy good to me — except there was no key lime pie. We don't roll high like the Gees.

When we first looked at this place, we saw that the sellers had a stack of Rush Limbaugh napkins. The cult mentality is fascinating.

Dolly Parton's "Hard Candy Christmas" came up on the holiday playlist while I was making breakfast this morning, and in listening it suddenly occurred to me that a hard candy Christmas sounds really depressing.

Gonna leave for the store in a bit, to help the last-second shoppers and others just discovering batteries were not included. Normally like to wear a Santa hat, like I do all of December, with the addition this year of a Santa's bears mask, but will bypass it today since we've been empowered to enforce mask madates - including refusing service - and don't think that would be a good look for Santa.
