Wyoming-Air Force being touted as the battle for #1 G5 and Top 25 ranking. Except AF hasn't even played a P5 this season.

The thing about that USC game vs. Arizona - it wasn't just that they were listless - they were sloppy. It wasn't just a case of a "look ahead" game - there are some serious flaws with that team that all the Caleb Williams highlights can't cover up.

Saw elsewhere that Penn State and/or Ohio State fans are upset about the noon kickoff of their showdown (yeah, I know, that's next week -- hey, there's no thread for it yet!) Only two reasons why I can think of fans being pissed:

1. Their drinking schedule. Look, if it's that important to be sh*tfaced for the game, just keep the party going from Friday night through Saturday morning.

2. They want their game to be prime time television. Hey, if it's the Fox "Big Noon" game, it must be the most important game of the weekend. Just like this week's Indiana at Michigan Big Noon clash!

It's embarassing how weak Penn State's schedule is - Delaware AND Massachusetts in the same year? Pathetic. I do like that they played WV again, but they aren't good either.

At least UMass is FBS (barely). Delaware is no worse than Youngstown State or Central Connecticut or some of the other schools they've long scheduled.

Wyoming seems pretty dang good. Beat Texas Tech on the road, gave Texas a tough time in Austin, and just beat one of the other top Mountain West teams. That +11 against Air Force seems like a gift that I'll be happy to accept.

The thing about that USC game vs. Arizona - it wasn't just that they were listless - they were sloppy. It wasn't just a case of a "look ahead" game - there are some serious flaws with that team that all the Caleb Williams highlights can't cover up.

USC has either played down to its competition all season, or consistently played with its food. San Jose State and Arizona State both stayed with them a lot longer than they should have. They almost blew a huge lead against Colorado, and had to claw out of a 17-point hole against Arizona.
They're so explosive, though, that they're capable of goosing the gas at any time and gaining separation. So it's hard to tell if they're overconfident in that ability and coasting too much, or they're occasionally disinterested and genuinely sloppy.
