sherlock holmes ...

not bad. i don't know if downey really knocked my socks off, but he and law work well together. mcadams was miscast.

i read a sherlock holmes book as a kid, but it never really stayed with me, so it's tough to know how true the movie stays to doyle.

and yes, the last line of the movie pretty much tells you another one's comin'.

Taken -- pretty much what everyone said, enjoyable as heck if you're not looking for high art. And I do love Neeson.

The Hurt Locker -- stressful as all heck, but good. I didn't buy into some of the characters, but it was powerful.

Julie and Julia -- I liked it. I didn't hate amy adams as much as most.

Funny People. Pretty good, bit too long. could've cut some from beginning or end. parts with Sandler and Rogen living together were good.

OK, I know this is gonna get flamed but I thought The Hangover is right up there with the stupidest movies I've ever seen. The only reason I stuck with it all the way through is I wanted to find out where the dude went. I didn't even laugh once.

I'm so sad for you. :D

Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself (2002) I bought the DVD from a resale bin oh, 5 or so years ago and then figured it would be too depressing. Just watched it tonight for the first time and now sorry I waited so long. Lovely dramedy, fab score.

Thought it was enjoyable when I saw it in the theater, but never got the "funniest movie evar!!!" thing. Watched it again on DVD and it just didn't hold up at all for me. A good, but completely throwaway, comedy.

Well, (hedberg) we all know you have questionable (hedberg) taste in comedy anyway (hedberg).
