122 homers in the last 418 games. Is Khris Davis going to be one of the all-timers?

He has played 150, 153, and so far 137 the last 2+ seasons.

I'll slow it down to your speed: it will be interesting to see how many homers he finishes with at the rate he's going.

You asked if he was going to be one of the all-timers. To me, that is asking if he will be in the same league as Ruth, Cobb, Hornsby, Bonds, A-Rod, Mays, Aaron, Speaker, Gehrig, Mantle, Musial, DiMaggio, Pujols, etc., etc.

In addition, he turns 31 years-old in December. So no, I do not think he'll be even remotely close to be an "all-timer".

We'll see. If he averages 40 or more a year for the next 7-8 years, he could approach 500.

I think 500 still qualifies as "all-timer" even if it isn't as sexy as 600.

He has 182 in 6 years so he needs 318 to get to 500. I'm glamorizing his next 8-10 years.

I would take Harper on my favorite team in a heartbeat. He's 25. I'd take my chances that he'll get better as he ages toward his 30-year-old season.

The only player I'd break the bank for is Trout. Unless he drives off a cliff, he'll be as automatic to Cooperstown as Pujols was at a similar age. Like Pujols, a generational talent.

No problem as an all-timer--unless he has to push open the door to the HoF with his throwing arm.

Well, I didn't say Hall of Fame, just forecasting his home run total. Guy is bashing right now.

Old guys don't hit home runs like that anymore. Of the top 20 HR hitters this season, only one is over 32 years old (Nelson Cruz is 37 and is seventh with 30 HRs).

He has like two years left to mash before he starts the downslide.

That is a lot of projecting for a guy who turns 31 later this year. Davis is in the third year of a really great stretch of power hitting, but he probably put it all together a little too late for a run at all-timer status.
