President Trump 2.0: The NEW one and only politics thread

I've noticed lately that stories and reports about changes going on as a result of Trump's moves are being described as "re-shaping" and "reorganizing," "reorienting" and "realigning, " etc.

That seems to be soft-pedaling and much too charitable in most cases, where thousands of jobs are being lost, history is being rewritten, and education/information is being minimized and deleted. Why not say, "destroying," "devastating," and "irreparably damaging," EVERY SINGLE TIME?

I get that writers are trying to sound literate and intelligent and looking for different words to describe these now constantly repeating events. But the message needs to be relayed as it really is, without making the situation sound like a damned good thing when it most assuredly is not.
