Pats are now down 10-13 to the Chiefs. This is the kind of game underdogs steal. Note: No thanks to Brian Hoyer. Best plays for NE tonight were Sammy Watkins fumble and a PI call on Mathieu. THAT one Hoyer learned from Brady.
No chance. Will Cam make more than Dak next year?
So I looked up Dak's splits because I was curious about how he's been playing in the stretches when games are close vs. when Dallas is way behind and pushing to come back.I think Dak's been fine. The Cowboys' defense is giving up about 36 points per game, and the only team they kept under 30 was the Rams. Dak's been a bit loose with the ball - 3 INT, 3 lost fumbles - but that happens when you're playing from behind constantly.
BTW, his best stats are when Dallas is trailing by 9-16 points, though the behind by 1-8 points numbers aren't bad.So I looked up Dak's splits because I was curious about how he's been playing in the stretches when games are close vs. when Dallas is way behind and pushing to come back.
I came across this insane set of stats.
These are Prescott's passing splits when ahead, tied and behind:
G ATT COMP PCT YDS AVG LNG TD INT 1st 1st% 20+ SCK SCKY RATE
Ahead 2 1 50 11 5.5 11 0 0 1 50 0 1 8 66.7
Tied 23 13 56.5 133 5.8 28 1 0 7 30.4 2 3 20 87.8
Behind 176 123 69.9 1546 8.8 58 8 3 75 42.6 20 5 31 105
In four games, he's thrown a grand total of two (2) passes when the Cowboys are ahead, and 176 when they're behind.
The moral is, you can't tell how well he's playing when they're ahead BECAUSE THEY'RE NEVER AHEAD.
