Long story short: A dead-ball penalty after a go-ahead touchdown in the final minutes was incorrectly assessed as a penalty from the original line of scrimmage.

Should the final minute be replayed? Or do you just chalk it up to an official's mistake and move forward?

They may have gotten colossally screwed, but you can't set this precedent.

Seem to be all kinds of subtexts to this, if you read some of the local coverage -- very thinly veiled accusations of racism, primarily. That being said, no, you can't possibly replay the game, even if it is a situation where there's a misinterpretation of the rules.

Slightly odd rule, too -- the penalty was for a sideline violation, during the play, by my reading, albeit probably behind it. Not sure if a different foul would be called if the violation were to have interfered with the play, but it does seem somewhat counterintuitive that what's been described at least as a live-ball foul would be penalized after the play.
