Oklahoma Sheriff OK with Killing Journalists

Thirty years ago, Texas Tim, my huntin' and fishin' running buddy, used to make a run up to McCurtain, Ok., where this happened, late every October around the full moon. He knew some good old boys who grew weed up in a holler somewhere. He'd come back carrying one of those hard plastic rifle cases lined with foam. Inside would be a dozen flower tops two to three feet long. I'd bet the county sheriff was getting paid off, then and now.

To be fair (cue "Letterkenny,") McCurtain, OK, is in Haskell County about a hundred miles to the north of McCurtain County.

Oh, McCurtain (Haskell County), is just as shady as McCurtain County. But the latter has a lot better trout fishing on the Lower Mountain Fork at Beavers Bend State Park - just don't try to go on the weekend, it's packed with every fly fisherman from the Metroplex on those days.

What if journalists are OK with killing the Oklahoma sheriff?

I hate to say it, but this country is heading for a reckoning. It's not revenge I'm after.
