People can't throw around sophomoric personal insults on a thread involving a sports-related issue? What SportsJournalists.com have YOU been frequenting?

"I don't want the coverage. Any time the media doesn't want to come up here and cover it or talk to me, I'm for it," Gundy told WWLS.
SixToe said:In the latest twist, Gundy says he didn't mean to yell but got angrier as his little tantrum escalated.
He also says he knows conversations with coaches didn't occur to contribute to Carlson's column.
Here's the story: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/ncaa/09/28/gundy.tirade.ap/index.html
Down in the story toward the bottom, Gundy says this:
"I don't want the coverage. Any time the media doesn't want to come up here and cover it or talk to me, I'm for it," Gundy told WWLS.
I think it would be wonderful if everyone laid off OSU for a week. No coverage of practice, the game, the pressers, nothing. No newspaper, TV, radio or web coverage. Nothing. Zero.
What a deckhead.
Robinson remained the starter, running for two touchdowns and throwing for two more in Oklahoma State's 49-45 win against Texas Tech that preceded Gundy's outburst. He said he hopes he can move on now.
"I don't want the coverage. Any time the media doesn't want to come up here and cover it or talk to me, I'm for it," Gundy told WWLS. "Not that I have anything against them, but this is not some publicity stunt that I tried to pull because that's not what interests me."
Gundy said he loves his job enough that he hasn't been bothered by the reaction to his comments.
hondo said:Christ, not that "they never played the game," about the media.
Football is a pretty simple game. Coaches try to make it as complicated as possible to cover their ashes and create the illusion, as Jim Mora so eloquently put it, that "we won't know and we can't know."
Guess what coaches ... we do know, and so do most of your knowledgable fans who watch and attend games. And that scares the crap out of you.
SixToe said:Hey Jerry,
I know what he said. He said he didn't want any coverage of him (not the team).
My response stands: it would be neat to see everyone take a week off from covering the Pokes. The thing is, Gundy wouldn't care and they could spin whatever "news" they wanted through their own channels. So that wouldn't be the best thing.
You need to take a chill pill.
