A Sun Belt coach claims sign stealing could be worth three touchdowns a game.
Michigan should be punished, say 94% of CFB coaches in our poll. What else did it reveal?94% of college football coaches say Michigan crossed a line. What else do they say about sign-stealing?
Which would raise the question: Why the heck doesn't everybody do it? And in fact, doesn't everybody do it?
A three touchdown spread is massive in college football. Certainly no individual player makes a three touchdown difference in games like hardly ever. Maybe an All-American player having a great game.
It was about 20-25 years ago that coaches and coordinators started holding clipboards and play sheets in front of their faces during time outs and while calling plays. (About the time players in MLB in mound conferences started doing the same things.)
I think that's pretty much contemporary with the spread of HD video coverage of most P5 games.
