Pissed off coaches

Pops, the head coach had no problems with what I wrote. I even asked him and he goes "I haven't even been worried about it. Don't listen to him and don't let him get to you." I don't care if the ass hole assistant coach is mad at me for this. His opinion doesn't matter at all to me. Now if the head coach were mad at me, it'd be a different story.

i'm gonna guess i spent a helluva lot more time in the field than you have before i became an se.

i could be wrong.

I'm gonna guess that you just play a tough guy on the internet.

I doubt I'm wrong.

in real life, it's usually just spineless little bastards who lose sleep worrying about those types of things.

So I'm a spineless biscuit now? ::)

I'm reading that as a yes, stupid.

On the other hand, a snippy coach is never something to look forward to and of course nobody really tells "him to blow you and that he's lucky you don't give him a white dragon in the process."

wow, now i understand the name.

no, really, man who takes everything literally, i say that all the time and tell my people to do the same. i also pop off with the same line to readers and coaches who call in, my boss, letter carrier and high school girls who take my drive thru order at wendys.

Wendy's is about the only place to eat near my apartment that's fast.

Pissed-off girls basketball coach.

Mad because I wrote a positive preview. All of his starters from a 21-4, third-place state team are back, perimeter shooting is good and the inside game is solid.

Mad because I wrote that his team looked good.

What the fork? Did they all get fat during the off-season or did some of them lose limbs? Beats the heck out of me why he's mad.

Mad because that kind of preview puts pressure on his job? How could I put any more pressure on him than, oh, say the school district or the parents? I don't get it.

Better put some Ben-Gay on those shins after that display of back-pedaling.

no display of backpedaling. you're the forking douchenozzle who took something out of context and then attempted to apply it.

been in the business about a month, eh?

Had a coach today use 4 timeouts to help score just before the half... to go up 38-6. Wasn't pleased when I asked what he thought about running it up. And he really wasn't pleased when I mentioned a letter he wrote a couple papers over the offseason about some Thanksgiving changes. He felt his team was getting screwed. The team he blasted the most in that letter... today's opponent.

BTW, I have no problem with playing a first string in the first half, no matter what the score. Those kids deserve to get the majority of the snaps. But to use timeouts to do it is chickenshirt.

Wait. Since when do they have four timeouts in football? Just curious.

watch how you phrase that farm, stupid will believe there are four timeouts per half.
