President Trump 2.0: The NEW one and only politics thread

I know many people who are not evil, did not march with torches nor screamed bigoted slurs, nor stormed the Capitol, nor tried to kill members of Congress, who voted for Donald Trump.
Your last sentence is a gross generalization.

Question: How overtly terrible does the Trump regime have to be, before "supporting Donald Trump" makes you a bad person?

Like, for example, if we were throwing people into an oversea prison so we could avoid granting them due process … is that bad enough? Or does it need to be worse?

How do they rationalize the last two things? Because I fail to see how storming the Capitol and trying to kill members of Congress should not have crossed the line for everyone.

Is their deniability of what happened and what they were trying to do really plausible?

I keep imagining Little Marco being invited over to Mar-A-Lago to accept the SoS gig and then they usher him into another room where they tell him the real "power behind the throne" of the Trump administration and its ultimate goal. And of course, if he doesn't cooperate completely they will kill his entire family first. Similar to the plot of The Firm.
