Location of landing beaches, timing of landings.
Number of troops in first, second waves.

Adolf was convinced that allies would invade to the north at Calais (the shortest distance across the Channel). Had the Germans not been surprised by the date and location, the D in D-Day could have become D for disaster. It was a near thing as it was.
