I've noticed it too many times to count among conservatives going back years. I don't know if they lack "empathy" - but they just can't relate to anything that isn't in their own personal life experience. How many times have we heard of GOP legislators suddenly flipping on medical research dollars after a relative is impacted? Gay marriage? They go to one gay wedding of a relative and they suddenly are supporters. Even after sitting on hundreds of hours of committee hearings, I'm guessing until they see themselves in a situation, they just lack the ability to comprehend something.

There TRULY must be some crappy golfers at that club. I know Trump can play a bit - he was a 7 handicap 20 years ago at the ATT which cracked down on artificially inflated numbers after Chargers owner Dean Spanos "won" the pro-am with an 11 handicap.
