President Trump 2.0: The NEW one and only politics thread

Use vouchers and school consolidation to hurt rural schools. Close rural post offices. Eliminate migrant workers. Sell all the farmland on the cheap to their oligarch buddies. Who will then get buckets of guest worker visas to replenish the employee base - but you can pay them pennies on the dollar and not give them healthcare because if they complain you'll deport them.

The nation lived through the Sixties.
Yes. And it survived a Civil War, a Great Depression, fought in WWII (remember, other than Pearl Harbor, our country was never attacked/in danger.
I would submit that Trump 2.0 makes the Sixties look like the Fifties. At no time in the Sixties was our democracy and our Constitution under attack. There were two (reasonably) sane political parties who would compromise and pass legislation.
I would posit that we didn't really survive 9/11. That turned out to be the start of MAGA, wars fought for no reason and the beginning of our country's division. The GOP turned 9/11 into a years long hate fest and used "terrorism" as a reason to trust only the Right Wingers.

Reporter: Will the DOJ be looking into Signalgate?

AG Pam Bondi: You wanna talk about security breaches? What about Hillary Clinton!?!

(Paraphrased. But she actually called back to 2016 to defend her fellow idiots in this administration. I suspect "But her emails" will be used in defense of MAGAs from now until the sun explodes.)

When half this country is standing in bread lines, it will still be the "Biden economy" that put them there.

Terrible on every level.

I also must note that a condition of my Australian work visa was that I was not to participate in ANY form of protest on Australian soil. I have no idea of that was a condition of this woman's visa. Just noting that, in at least one other country, it is a thing.
