I heard it for the first time as a dancer, Innocence, slithered round and round the pole in Rio Blanco.

It has special meaning for me.

And, I love the song; deep in the veins.

The local alternative station practically plays it on a loop. I was sick of it when the song was new.

World famous KROQ has defaulted to '90s when it's not spinning the current stuffs (nothing wrong with the '90s) but plays the same forking loop of songs.

And god forbid they don't play the Chili Peppers every 4th song.

They have basically shunned the X'ers who built that station though I did hear a Cure song 3 hours ago.

And the collective decision on what bands continue to be played.

As weird as Remy Zero being from Alabama.

So Im travelling with my parents to California this week to help them out as they attend a memorial service for a friend. Been an interesting trip. Highly recommend toilet booster seats for elders - hotel rooms especially seem to have low toilets. Watched more TV than usual and I swear the Bay Area has cornered the market on TV anchors who fall somewhere along the Hispanic/Asian/Muslim diversity spectrum, and usually a little of all three. I miss the diversity of the Bay Area in Oregon. And judging by the commercials, people in the Bay Area need a lot of prescription drugs, fancy cars and personal injury attorneys.
