From the still-active Pipeline:

Folks,

As many of you already know, we're losing three stalwarts. Carl Nelson, Harvey Araton and Bill Rhoden have decided to take buyouts.

No matter what I write here, it will come up way short in expressing how profound their contributions were and how deeply we'll miss them.

(Me again - I'm told more layoffs are coming, though no idea how soon)

Bill and Harvey are good friends and I know they put a lot of thought in their decision. God bless them on their new journey.

Rhoden with a column after his retirement...and Jim Brown's retirement. Ummm... okay.

Unless Rhoden spends his next decade slapping women around, he's no Jim Brown.
