Foreman-Holyfield PPV with a dozen guys crowded into a Holiday Inn room was one of the best nights of high school. RIP Big George.

I was too young to know much about boxing in his first career, though I later came to appreciate the war he had with Ron Lyle.

The thing that impressed me the most in his second career was how relaxed he was in the ring. He didn't waste a lot of energy but when it was time to drop the hammer, nobody did it better.

His loss to Shannon Briggs was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen, but he seemed to take it in stride.

Now the only one still alive from that "Champions Forever " video is Larry Holmes. Ali, Frazier, Norton and now Foreman are all gone, as are Shavers, Jimmy Young and Ron Lyle.

Always liked is weird defensive stance during Act 2, where he had his arms almost folded instead of straight up and down like most fighters. Never seen anything like it. Made him look like King Hippo from Punch-Out.

The whole idea behind the comeback was to beat Tyson, who had trouble with bigger fighters. But then Tyson went off the rails before he was ready to fight anyone decent.
