RIP Rosalynn Carter

77 years married. Amazing.

Our old next-door neighbors celebrated their 70th anniversary the weekend after we moved into our house. That was our introduction to them.

They made it to 76 years before the wife pashed away, after they moved to an ashisted living facility. I saw the husband only once after that, at church, and he seemed eerily calm about everything. Next thing we knew, we got the message that he pashed peacefully as well. Nothing was keeping him here any longer.

Mrs W and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary in July at a fancy restaurant near us and the couple next to us was celebrating their 55th. Amazing to hear those type of life stories. Imagine what the Carters could have talked about.

I had an uncle who pashed away earlier this year after he and his wife celebrated their 75th. The nieces and nephews and others showered them with cards. Couldn't find a 75th anniversary card!!!!!! so I took a 50, crossed out the 50 the wrote 75. Another cousin sent both a 50th and 25th card. Was sad this morning when on Facebook, he was one of my birthday reminders today. He would have been 98.
