Maybe -- and I'm just spit-balling here -- there's a (ahem) different, less loony, way of reading Cornyn's.

President Obama's tweet led with a criticism of the dismissal of stare decisis in this instance. Cornyn responded with a whatabout re: a similar sloughing off in the Brown decision.

If Cornyn's looking to roll back the clock re: racial relations, that's going to come as a big surprise to the very impressive young Black woman I was privileged to meet two summers ago: Cornyn had just appointed her to West Point.
