Roe v. Wade to be overturned?

I'm visiting a buddy in DC. He's a VP at a hospital association. He said they are already getting questions about what doctors should do about ectopic pregnancies. Do they terminate the pregnancy if it is detected or wait until the Fallopian tube bursts?

That's one of many things that the anti-abortionists aren't prepared for.

It's easy to say you are morally correct when you're marching with pictures of cute (and white!) newborn babies and signs reading "save the babies!"

But what happens when marchers have pictures of their wives, girlfriends and daughters with signs reading "She died because she was denied an abortion!"

Look at Ireland. A pregnant woman was denied an abortion when she was ill, died, and the pro-choice movement was galvanized to the point where a heavily Catholic country actually legalized abortion.

The anti-abortionists are feeling very good right now. And it's going to suck for women for a while. But let's see what happens 5-to-10 years from now, especially considering there are now abortion pills, virtual doctor appointments, online purchasing. There's going to be so many issues cropping up. A whole bunch of lawsuits too.

All of which may result in a major backlash against the evangelicals, and anyone else who supports them in the culture war.

Senators McConnell Kennedy and Graham haven't been this happy since Marriott's Gaylord Hotels put gay movies back on PPV
