Running 2017 MLB regular season thread

Has Harper been hurt? He missed 15 games last year and nine the year before, looks like eight already this year. That's a considerable amount for a 24-year-old outfielder. Trout's four full seasons have all been either 157 or 159 games.

I think I asked a fair question. Jose Altuve doesn't tske "scheduled days off." Anthony Rizzo doesn't take "scheduled days off." Charlie Blackmon doesn't.

Harper does. Why?

And why is it "trolling" to ask?

Eight this year. Two(? can't remember) to suspension. One or two because of a nagger here or there. A couple more for days off.

Dusty has been really consistent about giving regular days off to his starters. So yeah - Harper's played only 86 games, one off Murphy and Rendon (87 each), who lead the team in games played.

It's not trolling to ask the question .... but your lucid, well thought out reply to my answer was ....

and this ...

Go whack off to your Jon Rauch poster, fanboi.

and this ...

Your team didn't let a 25-year-old All-Star pitch past September.

There's a history here.

and this ...

I'm on mile 11, baby boy.

What have you done today?

I guess it doesn't hurt given their position in the division race. But that is somewhat unusual.

McCutchen also typically ends with 157 or 158 games. I bet most young star outfielders have throughout eras.
