Running MCU thread

I want to be careful with spoilers here. I don't love that choice, but it certainly has an impact.

Helluva first episode. It seems like a quality resumption of the character.

My one little thing, going back to the Netflix seasons, is how many times they say "Hell's Kitchen" per episode.

I understand Hell's Kitchen is a big part of the character. And the neighborhood is a character of its own. But do they have to say it every 10 seconds?

It almost feels like a running joke from the writers.

The other character involved in that scene is dead in the comics, so maybe I'm jumping to conclusions here … but it felt like a write-off.

To a point, but it also creates inner conflict and change in the protagonist, so I think it works from a storytelling standpoint.

Also, keep in mind that in the original scripts for this season, Karen and Foggy weren't even going to be included at all. The big question I have is how they handle the supporting cast for Matt with so many key characters either dead or out of the city. Then again, one of the choices I didn't like in the original series was killing off Ben Urich.

This interview is full of spoilers, but it is interesting stuff. It includes some explanation of how The Punisher fits into the show. (It shouldn't be a spoiler to mention he is in season one.)
