I'm trying to think of anyone who deserves a championship more than Eli Manning. For four years, all he's heard is that he's not his brother, that he's a bust, the Giants can't win with him.

Has there been anyone more reviled by their fanbase who has done less to deserve it? Maybe other than Patrick Ewing?

Thank goodness the party I was at was more entertaining than the game.

Also, am I the only one who noticed that you never hear about how the Chargers got the better end of that draft day trade he was in?

It's hard to understand why Shockey wasn't on the sideline supporting his team?

When I saw him coming through the tunnel pregame he was on crutches. I'm pretty sure he was there.

Wouldn't be shocked if that was the last time he'd appear with the Giants. They don't need him and he doesn't want to be anywhere where someone will hold him accountable.
He's signed through 2011.

You realize 2 of the last 3 Super Bowl winners (05 Steelers, 07 Giants) were the last wild card squeezing in the playoffs with no home post-season games. Kinda makes you wonder how important the home field advantage actually is.

In the NFL the contract is as meaningless as the paper it's on. He'll be dealt.

Giants O-Line is the unsung hero of the game. In fact for the whole year.
I agree. They set the tone of the game on the first drive and did a wonderful job keeping the Pats' pass rush from overwhelming Eli.

Maybe Coughlin didnt want him there?

Or Shockey is just a punk who was pissy the Giants were winning without him.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Most overrated player in the league. It is NOT a coincidence manning improved greatly after he left. Absolutely not.

That's true.

Anybody catch the Eli/Mercury ad that just ran on NFL Network? Even as tired as I am of Mercury Morris, that was still a cool commercial.

Mercury says that he's not tired of seeing Mercury Morris. BTW, Mercury says "fork you" to all of his critics.
