The Cheap Beer thread

Flash! Welcome back for stopping by.

Oh heck no on a $23 sixer. Used to get that for $7 a lifetime ago.

Don't be a stranger.

I gave up the craft beer thing once I decided almost all of it was way overpriced and largely lousy. So I went back to the great beers of my youth, mass produced stuff like Labatt 50, Molson Export, OV and Molson Stock Ale.

I got heavily into red ales in Ireland so always have some Smithwicks in the fridge and enjoy a Guinness or Murphy's Irish Stout in the winter months.

I'm making stew tonight so I have to go buy a six of Guinness. My husband actually asks me to buy him Corona and Bud Light every once in a while. He still drinks my craft stuff, of course. He gets a serious case of FOMO. So I buy wine instead. He can't drink it.

Export is the beer of my father and his father before. I still love it.

When I was in high school in Ontario, Canadian somehow overtook Ex as the flagship beer. Even at 16 I was brand loyal.

If I'm adding in some Clamato or tomato juice I go with something more like a High Life.

I randomly bought two (2 for $4) Busch 25 ozers today. It's the first time I've had it in years.
It's really not bad for the price.
