I wasn't going to see this movie, but after reading this thread, I think I'm going to find the time. Still, I'll do so with caution, given all the love for Superbad that went around these parts. That was a horrible, godawfull, not funny flick.

I still liked Old School better than the Hangover, but I've never laughed harder in a movie theater than I did the first time I watched American Pie.

That's how I view Knocked Up. Christ, that was so funny, I couldn't breathe at parts.

If you thought Superbad was "horrible, godawful and not funny" then I'm guessing this movie is not for you. Maybe stick to "comedies" starring Matthew McConaughey.

It's better than Old School...

Very, very funny movie, but it is no Old School.

Old School is ok, nothing more. Superbad, Wedding Crashers and Anchorman were far more enjoyable. Road Trip is below those three, but ahead of Old School.

I like all of the movies you mentioned here. I love one or two of them. Old School is the best of the bunch. And, to me, it really isn't that close.

Ferrill's character in Old School is like the one in Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, that figure skating movie. He'll run around semi-naked, yell and scream, make a few deck jokes. Who forking cares?

Funny is funny. So, yeah, I care.

Step Brothers was a piece of ship. Never saw Semi Pro, because I'm guessing it was just like Talladega Nights, and said figure skating flick.

What do I want him to do? I dunno. Maybe not make the same movie six times in a row. That'd be a start.

Stepbrothers was forking awesome. So many funny lines. So I don't really know what to make of this post. Does not compute.

Go watch them. ZG is so uncomfortably funny. So funny.

I agree. There were some great lines and gags.
Kathryn Hahn was hysterical and I loved the "Sweet Child of Mine" performance in the car.

When Hangover 2 comes out, some studio prick will say, "The first one made $150 million (I'm guessing). Imagine how much more it could make if kids could see it." and we'll get a sequel without nudity, the f-word and off-color jokes.

Because execs are that forking dumb.
