The TV thread

Caught up with this season of White Lotus. I really like it, but I'm not sure that the show is saying anything which it hasn't already said during the first 2 seasons.

I'm a few episodes into season two of 1923. Had high hopes. But it's forking terrible. Just ham-fisted, cliched writing.

Harrison Ford and Helen Miren can't even save it. They're both good as always. But the new season is a big ball of suck.

Oh there was something different last night by Sam Rockwell's character. And the look on Goggins' (Rick?) face? Priceless.

Holy crap, that was crazy. Carrie Coon nudity and same sex incestuous making out had to settle for the lower spots on the podium.

I don't even care. I am here for the beautiful scenery and to be jealous I'm not in Thailand.

Also that was apparently a prosthetic dong in last week's episode, not Jason Isaacs' actual package. I was very disappointed.

Also anyone have any guesses on who the shooter is? This show loves misdirects so I feel like there's no way it's the dad.

This place used to discuss television pretty well.

Now we're left with discussions of procedurals and calling anything with a pulse pretentious.

The brain drain here has been astounding.

We started 2 shows "How Not to Die Alone" and "Deli Boys". The first one is pretty good, alternatively pretty funny and depressing. Read that it didn't get renewed, so it's only a 4 hour commitment. Jury is still out of Deli Boys — pretty smart in places but also feels like a Guy Ritchie knockoff in others.
