Reread my post, Zag. I forgot to include Massachusetts (mislabeled New York as MA).

Do it again and you're a dead Doc.

I'm sorry. I'll never again forget Taxachusetts.

Obsolete.
The People's Republic Of Massachusetts is the current one.

Taxachusetts still works for me.

I prefer to use the People's Republic with the city of Cambridge in Massachusetts.

Except, tax-wise, we're pretty far up the track these days.

You're a myth.

Christians who are Democrats are a myth?

If you meant that -- you're pathetic.

He's said it a couple of dozen times, Ben.

So am I like Tyler Durden or something?

The first rule of being a Democratic Christian is you do not talk about being a Democratic Christian.

Cause, you know, it confuses people and stuff.

I've been violating the first two rules of Democratic Christian Club a lot lately.
I guess that makes me a bad DC.

Wish we had a vote to end the state income tax in Michigan, RSC. Now THAT might attract people to work in the state, but Governor Glamour never thinks of anything that would CUT taxes.

BTW, Michigan's 17 votes are very much in play. The state's a dead heat, according to some polls.

Oh believe me. This has nothing to do with our Gov. He is on the side of our 99.8 percent Democratically controlled state legislature on this one.

This was purely a grassroots effort by the people. Grab you pitchforks and torches. We are storming the castle.

The greatest stupid idea in the history of stupid ideas.
Let's cut 40 percent out of the state budget.
If you believe this is sound fiscal policy, I got what's left of a bridge in Minneapolis to sell you.

No, it is sound fiscal policy, especially if it is also tied together with "let's cut 40 percent of the state's spending and 40 percent of the state government...."

Of course, I know, I know -- if you do that the starving widow with nine kids won't get her check tomorrow and will surely die.......

Maybe not so much the welfare mom, but the maintenance of roads and funding for schools/police/fire departments is universally important.

Yep. If you don't pay taxes, you get what you deserve.

And I am quite sure all of that can still be achieved and likely more efficiently with a smaller state government, absent of all the boondoggles and pork projects that should be eliminated from every governmental budget.

Yeah, I agree.
