Tom vs. Patrick -- Super Bowl LV thread

If Fisher hadn't gotten injured, I'd love the Chiefs, but what J P-P did to a backup tackle today makes me wonder.

Supposedly, Reid said it did not look good, so the Chiefs will be without both tackles in the Super Bowl. I still have a lot of faith in that offense, but the Bucs should be able to get pressure rushing four or five.

Someone pointed out on the Twitterz that 16 of the last 18 Super Bowls have featured a Brady, a Roethlisberger or a Manning. The exceptions: Last year and SB XLVII.

That's even more inbred than the list of Republican presidential tickets, which either had a Bush, a Dole or a Nixon from 1952 to 2004 with the exception of 1964 (13 of 14).

The curse of Aikman and DJ, who are both quite good: Ex-Cowboys after those two could line up with their hand out and get a TV contract.

I'm assuming some of Romo's prescience will wane the longer he's been out of the league, right? Some of it was knowing tendencies of coaches and players he played against, I imagine.

I saw that Kansas City has had to resort to Mike Remmers at right tackle. Brought back all sorts of swinging-gate memories with Von Miller in a Super Bowl not too long ago.

Patrick Mahomes might need some track and field spikes and get ready to run.
